Apple products won't drop, that's for sure

@ghostcat: Well if my Apple TV and iMac are on the same wired network, shouldn't I be able to stream 1080p over ethernet just fine? That is the use case for me - iMac in my computer room containing all my 1080p downloads streaming to my TV through Apple TV in another room. That's the dream at least...

@dhuff: Sorry, I mean't downconverting the movies I've downloaded at 1080p. I fully understand DVDs are at 480p and can stick with 720p upconversion.

So you have to convert down to 720p? I'd like to have to rip a dvd once at the largest format... Since I only watch movies on my TV, I'm not that interested having to drop the resolution just so I can stream...

@glaeven: That is so messed up... I hope you catch and punish the person who did this. That being said, maybe next time you should expand the wall to be "interesting/fun facts" about a variety of holiday events: Christmas, Hanukka, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Chinese New Year, etc...

@Conn09: Congrats to her for starting a blog - it can really be theraputic for a lot of people. A couple quick design tips:

@beraldir: Definitely use Priceline negotiator - you can easily get 50% off by doing this. I used this method, showed up at Alamo and they also gave me a free upgrade for flying Air Tran.

Very cool. There are lots of things I miss from using my Droid, but like you said, Apple always wins in the hardware arena IMHO. Please keep us updated on this project!

@SquareWheel: Another commenter recommended [www.jongpie.com] - you should definitely check it out. Its faster and has a bunch of other webapps.

@Avohkah Tamer: Nice, glad to hear it worked! Another commenter recommended using another solution, and I totally agree. You should check out [www.jongpie.com] for the same type of solution, but better :)

@knightvash: mikespry.lh suggested using [www.jongpie.com] and it's awesome. I would highly recommend using his solution (similar to mine, but faster)

@mikespry.lh: I approved your comment because this is a fantastic find - much better than my solution. So, I would direct everyone to use Jonathan's work!

@SquareWheel: So you're saying you could paste the url in safari and before loading, you can hit "save to homescreen" and it works? Very interesting...

@mandin82: Thanks, glad you like it!

@Avohkah Tamer: You might need to bookmark faster... I've seen this before, and it was because I bookmarked it as it was redirecting...

@SquareWheel: Yes, unfortunately the delay will be there each time you open it. I set it to two seconds so that you'd have enough time to bookmark before it redirects. If I set it to something quicker, you might not get the chance to bookmark the first time around...

Thanks Whitson for posting this! I'll definitely look through all the comments and update the page - so any feedback will be much appreciated! Oh, and I'll try to respond to everyone by just replying to comments here...

5" by 8" Moleskine (with grids - yellow ribbon). I got hooked on Moleskine while ago and haven't looked back. Some people don't like how gel pens don't dry fast enough, so I'd suggest using a Pigma Micron 005 felt-tip pen. Its super fine (0.20mm line) and dries almost instantly.
