I think it’s fair to acknowledge that we don’t know anything close to the full picture of what’s going on, and give Drew the benefit of the doubt, while still being a bit disappointed that he’s the only writer to publish a post since Barry got fired.

There’s concern because there has pretty clearly otherwise been a coordinated effort not to publish anything on the site that looks a lot like a writers’ strike from the outside, and now there is fresh content from the loudest voice in the room.

It does - I can’t judge anyone too harshly for decisions they make when their livelihood is on the line, and I don’t know how the details of Drew’s non-exclusive contract compare to those of the full-time staff’s, or when this piece was submitted and edited or whether he had a choice in whether or when it posted.

Another question for the Funbag - is there a charitable way to interpret what seems like crossing a picket line to post this today?
