YAAS, SISTER!
YAAS, SISTER!
You know what? I appreciate your candor. Yeah, you may never understand. I've been dealing with it for 40 years and I still don't have a handle on it. As my dad said, "I guess I don't need to understand. I just need to accept."
It's because the negative commenters all hang out in the Yahoo News comments section.
"When is International MEN'S Day?!"
I agree in principal, but the pre-peeled oranges are marketed to people with disabilities who would otherwise struggle to peel an orange. Maybe the popularity of Lunchables is a more apt comparison?
You're right in that we don't choose our gender. I didn't choose to be a woman. I just chose to accept it.
That's an excellent question, and one that's tough to understand or explain, but being trans, I'd like to offer my thoughts. You'll hear the phrase "Gender is a social construct" bandied around a lot. It's true to a degree, but gender is made up of three areas: roles, expression, and identity.
I "love" it when I see a post by someone who says, "I'm gay, but these trans folks! Amirite?" It's like, hey it's okay to trash the T because the LG don't like 'em either. Ugh.
"Are you as close with her as you are with him?"
I totally misheard that line at first. I thought she said "bats in Gotham City." I was like "WHAAA!?" and then I heard it again, and I was like "Oh."
Sorry for the delay. As I said in another post, because I went to high school with the band's drummer, I follow them pretty closely. But all the info I have is readily available in articles about the video.
It's essentially a single take, but with 8 minute chunks taken out, when the gravity kicks in. They didn't reset anything during that time, just prepared for the next 25 seconds of weightlessness.
I went to high school with the drummer, Dan, so I know how you feel.
I have real mixed feelings. On the one hand, I knew I was supposed to be a girl at age 4, so I know the feelings are real. I know the kids don't do anything with hormones until they are high school aged and they don't start hormone blockers until puberty starts, so that's not an argument people should use against it.
Technically, it was Timely Comics at the time which later become Atlas Comics which morphed into Marvel Comics. So, yes, but technically no.
From now on, when someone asks me why I'm doing something, I'm going to lean in and say…
I find it odd that people are praising Kasich for saying he'd love his daughters if they were gay. Really? Is the bar so low that we're happy that GOP candidates will still love their children if they were gay? That seems to be the least we should expect that to do. "Wow, how progressive. That last candidate…
Shame. And we do gush, but not in the way you're talking about.
Your taste in burgers is bad and you should feel bad.
Reading the synopsis, it reminded me of my four years at York HS in Elmhurst, a few towns northeast of Downers Grove. Every year, we had one student die. It wasn't always a senior and it was at different points during the year, but by the time I was a senior and we had exactly one death per school year, it was a…
