Have you seen Ferris Fucking Bueller's Day Off? The guy plays the definition of a cool guy. Biloxi Blues? Wargames? Glory? The Producers? He played fucking Simba.

Lightning may be visually striking, but has no emotion or character backing her motivations, she acts and feels as the plot demands it, as in not very much.

I'll use whatever word I damn well please.

Not really...The game was just plain old boring. The aesthetic design was fine to me, hasn't stopped me from playing all kinds of other RPGs. I never called it 'Not Final Fantasy', just a 'Bad Final Fantasy'. Linear corridors, bland characters, and a battle system which was just sort of...there. I'd like them to give

You really undermine your argument by not playing the games you criticize and calling those who favor them 'hipsters' who act 'needlessly bitchy' over the fact that the series has only been able to crank out 2 highly divisive and one outright bad game in the past decade.

Okay, you don't just seem to be one. Thank you for the clarification.

Okay, i'll admit that is pretty cool. But I can see it having a lot of drawbacks, including the aforementioned bottlenecking with games. Also I can see a lot of publishers not being happy with it.

And ultimately it just isn't worth the whole 'shedding your consumer rights' thing.

You and one other person can play it. Which is not so amazing. If you actually have 10 people on the list I can see a lot of bottlenecking on it.

Wait, you are saying that this system would have caused publishers to stop gouging customers out of the kindness of their hearts?

EA would just be like 'Oh, I have enough money from the digital game sales, I shall cut prices on my games to make life easier for everyone!'?

Because if so, that might be the funniest thing

You mean the system that allows you to share games with a certain number of linked people who have all also paid 500 dollars for a console? But no two people can play one game at the same time, so if you want to play a game but your cousin 3 states away decided to play the same thing you are sol?

Yes, instead of

People don't want to take you seriously when you refer to them as 'desperate Sony fanboys' who 'keep vomiting up' statements. It undermines your point and makes you seem like an asshole.

Except that it would make online mandatory for certain games, limiting their audience.

Or you could just...carry your system over...and multiple games....Instead of mooching off your girlfriend's hard drive space.

Yep. Overall, feel pretty positive about this.

The human eye can percieve 480 to 1080. It cannot percieve the difference between 1080 and 4k unless you shove your eye dangerously close to an enormous screen. Technology has outstripped biology.

Not sure about PS3 games, i'm sure there will be a workaround. But I know PS2 and PS1 classics are emulated, so they should be easily transferable from system to system.

Reno, Rude, Elena, Tseng. All of the turks were pretty memorable and had really strong personalities and all got to do things. I criticize them for being portrayed too softly in AC, but other than that they were pretty decent side villains (This coming from a guy who doesn't care for FF7).

Also, what's wrong with Kuja?

You say turn-based like it's a bad thing.

I only played about 15 hours of Final Fantasy XIII so I never got to find out who the bad guy was. Or get to have anything resembling fun for that matter. :(

I don't think he was questioning the quality of the game, merely the profitability of it.
