Don't get me wrong, I...well, I have mixed feelings on VII, but that's unrelated, but X had a really cool opening which worked well for it's story. I was just acknowledging that it is kind of a cliche way to open a game and I admire a little variety.

You know, you can just not read my post and move on. Better yet, just not click on the article that is clearly about Final Fantasy IX and how great it is. See, I just read the first sentence of your response and knew it was just going to be whining that I would neither benefit from nor would it change my opinion so I

One of the great things about FF9's sense of humor is that it establishes a really strong contrast with the dark and horrible things that happen in the game. 9 has pretty much the highest confirmed body count of any Final Fantasy. The lighter tone serves to enhance that.

How far did you get into it...? Because the Mist is kind of a huge deal.

I think Final Fantasy IX has one of the strongest opening acts in a JRPG, ever. A lot of games squander that time trying to give you a big action sequence (FF7, FF10, pretty much any game that starts with raiding some sort of evil empire base) or slowly introducing you to the elaborate game mechanics (FF8, Persona).

His criticism is that the art simply shouldn't exist, when you say crap like that your statement becomes pretty damn invalid.

I am presuming the difference is that the latter offends you and the former doesn't and everyone needs to share your values for the world to be right?

So people who like to draw boobs should be shunned from society and not given jobs in an artistic industry?

I would just like to say that I find your attitude refreshing.

Now that this situation is resolved, I can sleep at night knowing that all sexism is gone forever.

I don't think Tarintino is so much characterized for his use of race as it is Spike Lee getting mad and making a huff of it because he believes himself to be King of All Black People

And shooters make people kill people by desensitizing them to violence. Maybe you should go out, have a kid, and teach that kid not to objectify the opposite sex instead of blaming the media and asking it to teach people to behave how you want. Or maybe you just need a reason to complain about everything.

Not all games need sensical characters, is what i'm saying.

There was no point, I was framing a question, where in between those two extremes is the line? What is acceptable and what is not?

I feel the concept of hyperbole is lost on you.

It might be a case of the grass always being greener on the other side of the fence.

I distinctly recall you saying that my brain was not working because I was thinking with my genitals, justify what you will. Your hostility is not helping anyone take you seriously. Note that I am not the only one not openly condescending you. You know why? Because I am trying, foolishly, to reach common ground with

If you are looking for a world where people don't exploit things for personal gain you have a hard life of great disappointment ahead of you. It's just simply the way of the world. Sad, I agree, but true. It's not something you can just change unless you change how our entire world economic system functions (Which I

I wish you the best of luck in the industry. Truly. I shall also ignore the remarks you made to the fact that I am only thinking with my genitals childish though they were.

So...basically, what you are saying is that there is nothing inherently wrong with these designs. Why can't a woman have big boobs or ginormous legs when fighting monsters?
