This was about money, as is clear now that Marussia has ceased operations and entered receivership.

Buxton is an imbecile. The writing was on the wall when Marussia didn't run two cars in Russia. Drivers have been hurt or killed without their teams parking their cars. That's why there are spare drivers on the roster. The team is obviously in financial trouble and taking races off to concentrate on next year is not

$75k+? The Martinique was supposed to sell for $125,000 in 1982, which according to my inflation calculator...would be enough money to cause an elected Democrat to act ashamed on TV when they're caught wasting it today.

Does it bother you that she was right about everything important and Obama was wrong?

The Cumberford Martinique was featured on many a magazine cover in 1982, including Car and Driver's. Perhaps some might recognize the bumpers from the BMW 633CSi, which also supplied the engine. The suspension was Citroen hydropneumatic, and fenders mahogany. The body was actually a fairly sophisticated aluminum

GreenTech Automotive: The perfect vehicle for moving tax dollars through the Department of Energy and into a crony cretin's campaign fund.

This place is rife with cheerleaders for tyranny. It might be time for some self examination on the part of the hive thinkers.

Recreating the stainless steel targa bar of the 901 based cars really brings home what an obese parade float the 991 is.

Putin could be ruling Europe sooner or later. Bernie just wants to be on the side that's winning.

Saturation flow rate

I did read the article. It said that traffic flow did not change at saturation flow rates. That means that when traffic speed is defined by gridlock and signals, cars are moving at the same speed irrespective of lane width. Life is being wasted the rest of the time. The author meant to fool people with his

You're onto something. People worried about banging their tires into curbs aren't looking for pedestrians. Never mind that this does away with the room that allows cars and bicycles to share the road.

Nobody ever gets back the time they waste traveling more slowly than necessary. You can't save lives by wasting time, you can only spread around the wasted life.

For all the people saying that there shouldn't have been a front loader inside the barriers, the out of control Marussia could have just as easily hit nothing more solid than corner workers tending to Sutil's Sauber. Best wishes for Bianchi's recovery, but double yellows aren't just there to protect drivers.

Just wow. How many times have we seen refueling fires during races? Porsche races. They should know better.

Porsche known for great reliability? That would be news to everyone I know that owns or has ever owned a Porsche. I should see what my friend does next time there's a dead 997 in my driveway and I inform its owner that it's got great reliability.

I'll hold out for a CT110.

I would sooner question the press fleet's engine calibrations than Car and Driver's testing methods. They're consistent on that front.

Anyone else concerned that the zip-cuffs used were insufficient? This guy was just a drunk. What if they needed to restrain someone that was after something more sinister than a pilfered drink?
