I got banned from Jalopnik for posting that exact same statement. Back a couple years ago when NewYork had a "earthquake" all you saw on the site was picks of a few cracked sidewalks. super lame with almost NO damage. But since gawker is in NewYork, the center of the universe. it was the only news story going.

Yes I would love a two tone S13 just like this one. I might look into importing one one day. I agree that I think this is the best looking of the S-chassis ever made.

Eff that. OBD-1 foe life.

Functional and 360-380 hp with no weight over the rear wheels = awesome burnouts.

IS300 manual. Just ignore the horrible wheels.

This Torino Wagon is the stuff of nightmares. Badass nightmares. I'd love to see it drift.

Thank you, I was waiting for someone to notice it! I need this car.

The '69 Dodge Dart Super Stock had fiberglass front body panels vs steel, acid dipped doors for less weight, Dodge Ram Van seats (lighter) mounted on drilled-out seat rails for less weight, a trunk mounted smaller battery for better weight distribution, a magnesium intake for less front weight, no radio, no heater, no

Why not light, efficient, AND powerful?

We do it because we can.

I spoke with the Tesla Store near me in Portland.

Smartphones work because they record you talking, send that as an mp3 to a server, where it has a whole bunch of data on what you are probably saying based on millions and millions of other recordings of what people are saying, then sends back the translation. Cars don't have that luxury yet.

I know I'm not the first to say this, but in this area Tesla should partner with both Apple and Google to add value. As you point out, smartphones seem to have figured out voice control pretty well and they also house a collection of apps tailored to each user's tastes and needs.

It works when you're off-boarding the voice rec (I use it on my Nexus 5 all the time), but automakers can't get it right using either off- or on-board processing. Musk's choice is the right one and I'm told it should be coming "soon", so I'll be interested to learn how Tesla will pull it off.
