They need the Silvy RST to be able to be options as a reg cab short box with the 6.2 in LT trim. A few bolt ons and dyno tune and it would be a weapon

(sigh)

CAR mechanic to all the people wanting gigantic SUVs - Fuck you.

You always knew, even if you didn’t know you knew, that at some point the Prius would become ubiquitous enough that people would stop thinking of them as the go-to economy choice, and start doing weird things with them just because they had a spare one lying around.

Pontiac Sunbird owner here. They are seriously capable cars, I’ve even raced a Mustang in mine and won.

Proof. See, Mustang

That’s the thing, I’m pretty sure this thing doesn’t either. Neither do almost all cars older than 25 years old!

This is what confuses the hell out of me. This thing won’t be street legal, won’t have a VIN, and, I’m assuming, won’t be crash tested, but I’ll be able to buy it and keep it on my private property and truck it to the track, no problem. If I wanted to do the same thing with, say, an R34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec, they’d

There will most likely be a Dodge Challenger Demon Drag Pak and a COPO Camaro with an LT5.

Seems like a lot of development effort for a car Ford can’t really sell many of. Even those crazy-spec Corvettes and Camaros are street-legal. Is the business case to sell more F150s to tow these hyperactive trailer-queens around?

Hold on, hold on.. We’ll get to this white one soon enough... we’re still working on this one

Honda looking to poke you on FB before the Takata bag pokes you in the face.

I think a good “restomod” would make it a fine DD—fix it up mechanically, put some modern VW wheels on it and update the head unit/infotainment and it could be a rather satisfactory daily. Oh, and make sure you refill the bud vase!

I’ll just leave this here:

The key to a safe cab-over is simply to get one that puts the driver above everyone else on the road.

It shoots flames from its exhaust. Which is good. Not enough cars do that from the factory.

If this isn’t COTD I’m throwing out my computer and moving to the woods.

Is the Corvette YouTube community ready for this?

Ehhh, i think the GS needs to stay NA, but it should get a little bump, 500-530 hp, something like that.

Pipe dream: they throw the old LS7 in there for one last run.

I spot these things out testing all the time. Have gotten up close and personal a few times.
