The world has to shrink in TWD, and it’s way overdue for doing so. Otherwise you start to enter the realms of “why don’t they go live on an island that they can completely clear of walkers”, or “Why don’t they fish?”, or “are there other places in the world doing better than the eastern seaboard of the US?”.

Just watch Dark Matter. It’s basically a remake. There’s 7 of them, one is artificial, they’re all wanted criminals fighting the system, they have an over-powered ship, and they one we thought was the main character gets written out at the end of season 1. Even the archetypes are the same.
