Dark = evil because in the past, darkness was literally dangerous. It’s about night and day before we had the power to illuminate the darkness. This trope is thousands of years old, and has literally nothing to do with race.

Maybe it’s like a Silent Running-type world outside, where there’s no green space left and no animals. We don’t even know where it’s set really, it might be on the moon or inside an asteroid.

People from other countries don’t understand the US’s flag-worshiping tendencies.

Illegal migrants aren’t entitled to benefits. Without paperwork, they can’t even work unless it’s off the books. God knows why they want to go there, it’s not as if the UK is more generous at granting asylum. Maybe they THINK they will get benefits, but frankly the benefits are just as good if not better in France and…

I always wondered how Chewbacca was called Chewbacca, and his race called Wookies, when he quite clearly could not enunciate either word.

She is supremely down to earth. When she still lived at her parents house, a normal house in a quiet suburb of Auckland, kids used to come and knock on her door to get autographs, and she always made time for them. She was just being ironic.

Ella comes from my neighborhood in Auckland and went to the local high school. She is a VERY big deal around these parts. True story.

The problem with a house like that is you need an army of people to maintain it, thus sacrificing your privacy.

This. You never here of them expressing regret or shame. They immediately call on their union rep to start covering their own arses. Even when they’ve clearly screwed up, they never step forward and take responsibility. They execute people and they give every appearance of not really caring.
