@CoffinDodger (If the typos crap. Blame my keyboard): I've literally just come upon the series. As an American, I actually like a lot of the British shows and am disappointed to hear that it's going to be remade for SyFy. Have you seen SyFy-produced shows? They're crap. Even the interesting ones like Warehouse 13

@vlatro: Some good advice there. Another good app is Simplify. It sets up a streaming media server on your PC and streams to the Simply app on your iPhone or iPod Touch. As long as the computer is on, it'll stream. You can even share your library with other people. It's also extremely easy to setup, so that's a

@Purple Dave: You do have to admit though; that sucker has a crazy 0-6o Mph time. Granted, you've gotta charge up immediately afterwards, but what a great 3.9 seconds!

@TheWormInYourApple: That's the best explaination I've seen of the press conference yet. I haven't actually seen the video yet, but judging by some of the comments quoted in the article, I think you've nailed it on the head.

@Mr_Bloggerific: Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't chastise you for having an opinion. What I said is that you've now bitched about the same thing in two threads and it hasn't got you anywhere other than looking like a whiny schmuck. Obviously this site is dedicated to "hacking" various areas of life and one

@Mr_Bloggerific: Dude, you bitched about this very same thing the other day. Point made: you don't like the office makeovers. You've got a choice - quit bitching and enjoy the article, skip the article altogether, or quit reading Lifehacker. Either way, the rest of us are tired of your whining.

@RicketyCricket: The day will soon come when Steve will legally change his name to iDouche.

Apparently those are sold at fusionofideas.com. Huh. Who knew?

@Xagest: You should consider jailbreaking it and going back to 3.1.3. You can get just about all of the features that iOS4 brings and it'll still run fairly well.

@frigg: Maybe it's not a monumental failure, but I still consider it at least less than successful. There's a lot of stories on the web (and not just Gizmodo) about the yellowing on the screens, the glass breaking easily, and now this thing with the buttons switched around. Oh, and let's not forget about the

@Software_Goddess: No, I'm with you. This launch is a total failure. There's no excuse for poor build quality from any manufacturer.

@Wabbited: but if they used Flash, all of the alien's iPhones, iPads, and Touches wouldn't be affected thereby averting a true collapse of their empire. It would just piss them off and they'd end up nuking Nebraska.

@tmlfan81: You've got a lot of great points there. I'm on the other side looking to get out of Apple's ecosystem and get an Android device. Unfortunately for me, I've got another year left on my contract. However, as you've so aptly pointed out, there's a lot of great phones out now and they've made a lot of

@timgray: I blow right by that 2 GB limit on my 3Gs. Then again, I stream a lot of audio (opted for high quality on Slacker) and more importantly, I watch a lot of baseball on MLB.tv's app. I generally watch 4 or 5 games a week. I also access files on Dropbox, MobileMe, and use Evernote quite a bit.

@Mattizzle: I've talked to a few people who have JB their phones in the past and upgraded to 4.0. They don't regret losing their JB.

@NuevoLeon: The JB is available right now for redsn0w as long as you don't need a carrier unlock.

@nolabar10der: I use Mozy and over my broadband (~20Mbps) and backed up a couple hundred GB of data (audio, general files, video, pictures, etc) and the first backup took like a week. Subsequent backups are really quick now. I did try to restore some video files and that takes quite some time. I spent a few days
