Interesting, I'll double-check on the Java, I thought it was up-to-date. I must have mis-read the Unity thing, I have a memory of Notch speaking on it at length with regards to his work method.

Again, advance in what? If you're talking about GPUs and other non-GPU-related advances in video performance, then that's an insanely narrow view of computing, computing that hasn't changed much in the last twenty years other than in performance of graphics.

Weird. Personally I think it was an updated version of the Unity engine which Minecraft is based on, that caused the issue. If for no other reason than there didn't seem to be much of a difference between the version of it that worked fine for me, and the next one that broke it on two different operating systems.

Honestly the reason why I left Windows systems(Which is what you meant but forgot to say), was BECAUSE of what games were doing to computers - which is to say that I got fed up of the endless revisions of graphic and sound hardware and unending driver re-issues creating an industry that was chasing itself into the

A....one year old computer. That the game ran fine on for around four-to-six-months on, until either an update to the Unity engine that Minecraft runs on, or a design choice by Mojang ran it into the ground.

All very nice, but Mojang broke Minecraft for me around the advent of 1.00. I'd been playing fine in the beta, but something in the full release makes my early '11 MBP break down to about 5fps. And thats both in Lion & an XP BootCamp.

16, surely.

Or for that matter that the term "movie" comes from the notion of a "motion picture" as a novelty, the same as non-silent movies were spoken of as "talkies". I mean, the very idea of still calling them "movies" seems strange when you factor in that the vast majority of movies not consumed in the cinema are viewed by

For whatever it's worth, I think it's possible, but as evidenced by the preceding comments on this subject, the idea is a hard sell.

Oh that would be excellent. I'd buy that.

Same with the UK, I'm afraid.

I don't know about the movies, but won't this affect "Ghost in the Shell: SAC"?

Excellent stuff.

Thanks, been trying to get some knowledge on what specifically was causing some of the problems, and to find if the patches had solved the most egregious flaws. Between you and some other threads, this was a big help.

Ta muchly, I've been trying to source updates on this, and you and ArkonBlade have been of great benefit to me here.

Muchos gracias mi amigo.

Do you mind if I ask - Do you have a Slim model or the older model?

So is it patched up now? I ask as someone who held off on Skyrim for my PS3(Initially because of money, then waiting for patches).

I think Danny Trejo would be an excellent choice for fans of "the book coming to life on screen", but as "an adaptation of a book", involving "actors", I'm not in favour(And I just got done with S4 of Sons of Anarchy, where Trejo shows up a fair bit).
