I love the phone key on my Tesla. But it was very temperamental when I first got it and had a Samsung. Since switching to a Pixel 3XL, it’s been flawless and it works better than my BMW Comfort Access. Other than the Tesla system though, I haven’t seen any others that come close to as easy to use.
I’d be with you there except GPM is dying a slow death and Google has made no announcement about YTM supporting a music locker yet. With GPM on the way out, I don’t see how any car maker would be able to integrate it like this.

Don’t mandate new cars to have a reminder, that only helps people who buy new cars, which excludes lots of lower to middle income people who buy used cars. Meanwhile it increases prices for people who don’t have children or whose children are old enough to get out on their own.
