I'm sure Verhoeven wasn't play straight, but I doubt he was trying to go as far as the movie ended up being. It was just a happy accident that he could easily go "Oh.. uh, yeah.. that's what we wanted to happen! Yeah!"

I thought Wahlberg was terrible in The Other Guys. He just yelled the whole time and didn't offer anything that was funny. I mean he yelled things that Will Ferrel bounced off of in funny ways but Wahlberg should not have been in the movie.

Yeah gotta love the tin man.

This show is amazing. The first few episodes are pretty deliberately slow paced and is a bit of a drag from the get-go. But it has picked up BIG TIME and is really paying off. It went from the show that I said "Yeah, I guess I'll find time for Boardwalk sometime this week" to "It's not Sunday yet?!"

I also thought pretty Italians were bullshit and the Crusades were badass. But then I beat AC2 and I changed my mind.
