I think you’re reading that incorrectly - the OP is saying that they’ve never had a car less than 10 years old, not over 10 years old. I.e. they’ve never owned a car that wasn’t at least 10 years old (like their current Vue, which is now old enough to vote).

You both misspelled Land/Range Rover

Any early 2000's VW, for that matter...

You misspelled Audi.

They’re explicitly making you agree to a non-transparent, binding payment structure. You can’t see what adjustments they make, and those adjustments are considered final!

oops I should have put maintenance + depreciation in #2.

I’m a bit confused. Wouldn’t you want to write:

Was going to say, that’s not how it works, that’s not how it works at all. IRS reimbursement rate can’t even be applied in this situation, it’s irrelevent.

Tax income does not equal actual income. That 58 cent per mile assumption is going to be way higher than actual expenses for your car because it’s based on averages for work vehicles, most of which are big trucks/vans, not a tiny cheap sonic. Your fuel cost is probably ~7 cents per mile. Your repairs at 6K over 50k

So my 400+HP (stage 3 modded) AWD 6 speed manual 2007 V70R with 4 wheel 4 pot brembos clamping 13" rotor on all 4 corners with adjustable suspension and a 3rd row seat is worth between 9 and 10k on a good day and this 22 y/o family cruiser with a n/a “4 point great” and a slush box is worth almost $14k.....????
