Net Neutrality repeal is going to be the single biggest deciding factor in this idea, imo. The initial investment in a console, while prohibitive, is going to be nothing next to a monthly fee to an ISP for a gaming bundle.

I ended in Vanilla after beat Molten Core, then picked it up during Pandaria. It was basically a whole new game. It was fun enough but not enough to make me grab the next expansion. Maybe in another 4 years....
