“I’m pretty sure that if you say the name “Wallis Simpson” three times into a mirror at Buckingham Palace, the ghost of the Queen Mum appears and beats you to death with an bespoke umbrella.”

Ha, yes, on second thought that may not have been the best opener! I was so excited for scary story time (and this had just happened, too) that I don’t think I did the best job telling it :p But it is 100% true, cross my heart.

This pun is so good you deserve 2.4 million stars.

ditto. A+ pun.

I love this comment and I love you for bringing up these points. 1. No, this is not at all the first research to clear Dugas of the “patient zero” label, and 2. “and the band played on” does unnecessary vilify Dugas, but it’s a good read and an important book anyway — everybody should pick it up!!

blahalahalhaaaaa CREEPY. Yes, I firmly believe hugs are the best way to deal with these kinds of things. My whole family has “sensitivities” to energies or whatever you want to call it, but this is one of only 3 times I’ve SEEN something, and it was such a strange experience I don’t think I would have believed it

Are there PMs on this thing? It’s literally my first post, so I don’t know how to kinja yet

I do have one other story (ghost) that will stick with me the rest of my life... but mostly it’s kind of boring energy reading/esp type stuff —“don’t take that road... good call!” “::outrageous thought:: >>> ::outrageous and surprising reality!::” I can tell if people are sick, or pregnant, that kind of thing... but I

:(

Haha, I’m sorry! It was honestly really freaky, but I know a lot of people don’t believe in these kinds of things, and that it sounds patently ridiculous. I might not even have fully believed it myself if it weren’t for my normally stoic boyfriend dropping that “I saw it” comment on me (o__o)

Re-reading this now I see I sound unusually aloof and calm (I’m not the best sorry teller), but needless to say we do not sleep there EVER anymore because that was some spooky, uncool bullshit.

Okay, so this may not be the scariest story ever, and none of you will ever see it because I’m as gray as they come, but it is 100% true and you can make of it what you will.
