Who even cares about the individual candidate at this point? We know what to expect from each party, so a vote for Fetterman is just a vote to keep Republicans out of control. Like, what is Fetterman gonna do? Pass a law that makes it legal to hold black joggers at gun point? Make it okay to not pay your taxes?

I have a lot of sympathy for socially awkward, lonely, depressed, isolated people... Having said that, I very quickly lose sympathy for them when they externalize their issues as actually being problems with everyone else...

It was always like this, it just previously wasn’t possible to fire up google and see how many of the actors in what you just saw had parents with blue names on wikipedia.

Maybe they can go on the next episode of Archetypes with Harry and Meghan and they can all talk about how they don’t care about the titles, actually they didn’t even want those titles, but it’s terrible they don’t have the titles... not that they care of course.

If I know my Shakespeare....there should be a poisoning here in a month or so with an additional years worth of wordy lamentations before a descent into madness/suicide with a bit of scenery chewing.

Competing against Miller and Yearwood, the complaint said, left the plaintiffs with “materially fewer opportunities to stand on the victory podium, fewer opportunities to participate in postseason elite competition, fewer opportunities for public recognition as champions, and a much smaller chance of setting

Yeah... I don’t know why people think these are great movements.

Shouldn’t we always have been suspicious of anyone commodifying their family life, wife guy or otherwise? Family life is difficult-enough as it is without the added pressure of making it conform to your brand.

Can we also get rid of the #GirlDad shit as well?

But perhaps the most heart-rendering social media eulogy came from Michelle Pfeiffer

Shaquille O’Neal, Self-Proclaimed ‘Serial Cheater,’ Is Rooting for Cheaters Everywhere

Now playing

I found the Taylor Rooks interview I was thinking of. And now I’m getting mad about how they did Shaq in this article. He is an interesting, introspective, thoughtful person. He’s wrong about plenty of stuff, but he’s right about a lot, too.

What a weird take on what Shaq was saying. He said he doesn’t have the moral authority to condemn or judge them for cheating because of how serially unfaithful he was. And then spent a good amount of time talking about his regret and how much he lost because of his behaviour.

For my money, Satan can have Alito as well.

Hows that worked outt in the past 30+ years? Doctors get fired and shamed for much less. Whether most cops are good is irrelevant because they are still part of and enables a system that condones and protects police nonsense. They have way less oversight and oversized power than many other privileged positions

“I’m not interested in reality, I’m interested in the images.”

It’s not about training, it’s not about reform, it’s not about diverse hiring. Any efforts to do these things are worthless due to the entire manner in which police departments operate. At some point y’all really need to get it through your heads: you cannot reform this and throw more and more money for nebulous

I’m reminded of what the Uvalde police said Ramos wore full body armor, and later it came out that he basically had an empty vest on. No helmet. Nothing. Just an empty vest. But sure, they called it “full body armor” in the aftermath to cover up their ineptitude.

I mean, the cops in Uvalde initially said the shooter there was in full body armor, and it turned out the guy had on an empty vest (no ceramic plates) and no helmet. So I would take what the police say with a grain of salt at this point. It may come out later that the girl had like a bike helmet and a black t-shirt

I don’t know. The profession seems to attract a whole lot of violent assholes. I’ve known 8 cops as an adult, and 7 have been assholes. Only one struck me as a decent guy trying to do the right thing, and he left the profession because too many of his colleagues were assholes.
