It might have been the model we had - SE, 3-cyl EcoBoost - but it was cheap and nasty inside, the engine couldn’t get out of its own way, the ride was shocking, it was astoundingly cramped, the seats were pretty bad - though that’s a complaint I have with most Ford products, a friend of mine has an F150 I can’t sit in

The weird thing is the two worst modern vehicles I have had to endure - Ford EcoSport, Ford Escape - I can’t call disappointing because I didn’t have any expectations. Like the Escape is a bad car. I don’t know how on earth they managed to screw it up to that degree. The platform isn’t even awful - the Maverick is

The 10th gen Honda Civic. When I replaced a car that got wrecked, it was the first car I test drove. Everyone was saying it was great. And, I hated it. It was uncomfortable, the interior was gimmicky and unpleasant, it felt overly long, it didn’t handle all that well and I couldn’t end the test drive fast enough.

The more I learn about blockchain, the more I think there is no application for which it makes sense.

Honestly, I have come to the opposite conclusion: Blockchain is a dead end. It just doesn't do anything that can't be done better by other existing technology.

What, exactly, do NFTs allow us to do today that we cannot already do faster, more efficiently and better already?

$8,300 for a rough version of a car nobody wants anyway. I’ll pass.

“All of these people condemning this theft haven’t stolen a single television from a Des Moines Wal Mart.”

I actually enjoy watching Rust Valley Restorers because I really like that area of the country and haven’t been back in a while. So it's pretty much just a weird kind of tourism for me.

It would be extremely funny if Mick was solidly in or near the points and Mazespin was still struggling to get around the track.

My favorite part of Motorweek is all the old episodes are online, so you can see people with late ‘80s fashion - so many mustaches and so much teased hair - take notes around family sedans that have all since become your washer and dryer.

The most annoying part of that show, beyond not knowing what a “sleeper” is but using the term constantly, is that it is actually very close to being good and that makes it worse. Story of plucky outsiders working on a big build to take on a factory fresh supercar? Really interesting! And yet they can’t quite get

Here’s the thing with American Top Gear: It actually got decent after everyone stopped watching. In the early days? It was trying way, way too hard to be like the original and could not pull it off. Plus, it was clear that the cast didn’t really know each other and had a very hard time playing off of each other.

They don’t take risks on other people, which is honestly good for them. Nintendo doesn’t need to own anyone else. They don’t need more new IP - they have a ton of IP. They don’t need to lock down a company for exclusivity - they do that already through contracts with different developers and having a console that

That’s a pretty good reason for them to buy out the company too. If the management is out of control, make sure you’re the boss.

Does that include treasury shares?

But the other thing is Nintendo knows how to foster a relationship with their favorite developers to the point where they don’t actually NEED to acquire them to do that. Did you know HAL isn’t owned by Nintendo at all? Out here developing Smash and Kirby, sharing staff and even working in the same building sometimes

Ungodly amounts of money don’t matter if the people who own the majority of the company - which I believe is Nintendo and the Yamauchi family still, though I don’t have exact sources on that. And if that’s true, all the money in the world won’t get you a hostile takeover.

It’s not like Microsoft was a small company in the late ‘90s, the acquisition would have been in the high billions if it happened.

One park with fun for everyone.
