The name also sounds a little Goofy.

I had that experience with the Equinox a couple years ago when we were replacing my partner’s car. The entire test drive it wasn’t bad, exactly, and it felt like it should be competitive but there was just something off about it. The seats didn’t feel entirely right, the door handles were oddly small... There was just

Given GM, the actual case is that all of those engineers knew a gasket was a good idea. Some of them fought for it. And somewhere in the building an accountant said “but if we don’t put in a gasket, we will save $.05 per truck. Can it work without it?” And eventually they found an engineer who sarcastically replied

Basically, the idea is that you don’t want to waste your time on the people who will spot red flags.

That's GM though, brilliant engineering cost cut until it's terrible.

The lighting is mostly Corvette C4 - the front turn signals too - so that wouldn't be too surprising. Provided they are wired up the same, and with something like this, who the hell knows.

Personal theory: It’s supposed to be bad.

With a hobby like that the goal isn’t to save money, it’s to outdo yourself.

The single seat Metro does kind of kick ass though.

I didnt realize just how unsettlingly long that front end is.

That I doubt. Microsoft is actually moving BACK to putting stuff on Steam after a few years of their PC marketplace being the exclusive home of many of their games.

Having experience with those lights, if you can’t see them - or the people illuminated by them - you maybe shouldn’t be driving. They aren't subtle.

The true measure of a king is not your own ability, but instead wielding power over others.

Sounds like the king of the autobahn is a MAN TG.

Can't be hostile to employees if there aren't any employees left. That's 4-D chess baby.

Given that this is a story about a talking penis I assumed it was about Jim Spanfeller.

Then your objection is with glossy black plastic - which could probably be replaced by something that is less of a fingerprint magnet anyway.

I do think the dial has the most promise, with a mild redesign. Instead of just a free turning wheel - which is pretty unsatisfying to use, though I’m most familiar with the Ford setup - they should have it set up to have a little protrusion that points directly at your gear and have little stops at each position. Putting climate control functions on the touchscreen instead of dedicated buttons.

I think there’s a middle ground here. Well laid out pushbutton? It’s okay. Badly laid out pushbutton (GMC Terrain says hi)? Toss it. Knob? It’s almost fine, but I would like it set up so there’s a nub at the top pointing at the gear instead of it just free turning with no other indicator. Those weird flicky nipple
