Once I invited a boyfriend over to break up with him. He’d spent an hour on the bus only to basically go get back on it. In retrospect, text might have been kinder.

At least you realized it and learned from it. Nobody is perfect, so nobody should expect perfection, but we can all make an effort to be better to each other.
