@JeffPom: Or at least let us "unthread" messages that don't belong together!

Congratulations lifehacker. The article was absurd, but the comments have made my day :)

Once you go vi (vim), you'll never go back. No more edit & transfer, always having two different copies, etc. You can tell it to perform syntax highlighting if you want too.

It's really just a matter of priorities. People buy netbooks because they want to email and surf on the go—If they wanted to play WOW at high-res. they would pay for a laptop that did that. The same goes for your camera, PC, Television, etc.

@Brendan Bone: Duh! Programmers always start at zero! ;)

showrss is working great for some evil bastards who would download Weeds and Dexter instead of waiting for Netflix to get them on DVD....or so I hear...bastards!

Great program. It's the one I use for most burn tasks and their discontinued dvd decrypter is great for ripping DVDs to your hard drive (to Handbrake later)

I brought my laptop AND my netbook to the family reunion in Tahoe just in case someone wanted to check their email while I was connected. Zero downtime damn it. I would like to thank two of the neighbors for sharing their Internet connection with me at the timeshare. "bronco" and "eric23" you saved me many trips to

I write in a combination of both—some letters printed, some cursive. Most upper case letters I print, most lower-case letters are cursive. Handwriting was very important to me as a child. (b 1978)

I didn't know Lifehacker was infiltrated by pirates!?

@TheQwerty: Anyone who uses Pandora more than 40 hours/week does so for a reason—It's the most awesome freaking service ever. I for one don't think I'm speaking for a lot of those 10-percenters when I say that I'm happy to contribute this tiny amount and then some.

In other news, I have nextplease and check4change working.

about:config search for close. It wasn't rocket science...

@LorettaHizello: The better gmail script of course! [lifehacker.com] Once enabled, you name a group of folders school/fall08, school/spring08 etc. and they will become a main school w/ "subfolders" fall08, spring08 which will be a collapsible menu.

Lifehacker...once again...another in a long stream of teasing us about the availability and features of Google Voice, when again...nobody gets to join. -disapointed again.

About flippin time. WTF! Also, agree with quadrantsix's suggestion.

@taosaur: When I listen to music in Pandora on one Firefox tab, and try to read Google Reader in another tab, both constantly freeze and skip. Even though I've upgraded to 1.5 GB of RAM. That, in my opinion means FAIL! Sorry.

I've got the old AAO and like it okay but the Atom processor is just a dismal failure. I won't be upgrading until the processor does. These new models are upgrading everything but that, and it is my biggest complaint. Intel's fault I know, but get with it!
