Hot take: Terry Gilliam’s movies, while absolutely delightful and filled with verve, character and energy at their best, aren’t much better than “good,”and the difference between good Terry Gilliam and bad Terry Gilliam is infinitesimal. And I say this as someone who digs much of his work.
