Agreed. I’ve not been a regular comic reader since about 1967, never was a Marvel reader, and while I’m missing out on a lot of the “inside baseball” joy of these films, I’m enjoying them immensely.

I am glad it is not Ron Perlman. His Deathstroke was great. This Teen Titans doesn’t deserve it.
The umbrage I take is with #2). I don’t think it gets people that pumped for Captain Marvel — at least not as much as the character will absolutely need pumping up between now and then.
Arguably a post-credit scene in a Marvel movie hasn’t mattered anywhere near as much as Infinity War’s does to the emotional tone of the entire piece.
The snap definitely had the opposite on the non comic fans in the audience. They are fucking devastated, and the kids did not take some of that well. Good stuff. heh
I don’t know. I thought the teaser for Carol wasn’t all that different from the previous stingers. If anything, it felt a bit weaker, as the non-comic fans in the audience at my showing pretty much just went, “who?” and then moved on.
I’m with you. I love the book. I’ve been disappointed with the show. It is all shock and no awe.
Uhm, fuck you. This headline is a spoiler by any definition.
Wow Charles, that’s a bit much in the headline, don’t you think?
Saying that the ending is devastating is actually a way tooo early spoiler.
No. It DOES have its moments, but the show seems more obsessed with its visuals than its content. The book feels much more sedate in its visuals, but the content grabs hold of you much better.
Am I the only one that was bored out of my skull by S1?
All I really wanted to see in this movie was main characters dying, Thanos getting a full gauntlet and Mistress Death. Looks like they will only have 2 out of 3 of things I wanted to see.
I might question that a reviewer who begins with: “Review: Even by Marvel’s own standards of mediocrity...” may have been going into their screening with a slightly prejudiced mindset and, perhaps a lack of objectivity.
Homecoming was a bad one to miss. It’s really, really good. I will always love the Tobey Maguire Spiderman because I was 14 when that movie came out and that movie was everywhere so much that my little video production class made a parody of the trailer.
Idk, go ask Justice League and Wonderwoman and every DC movie.
I know the lines of divinity and chronology are vague in the Marvel universe, but I don’t think that’s correct usage of either “reminds” or “literally.”
Sadly, I’m not sure it’s ever going to happen. There are two things that make movie appearances by the TV show characters nearly impossible: logistics and lack of benefit to the movie side.
Captain America hooking up with some rando?
Just saying, this guy could cameo in the right Jessica Jones story.
