steve’s attitude was worryingly close to Captain America: World police. Unfortunately The Avengers are headquartered in America, have several members with ties to U.S military and/or U.S intelligence services, are funded by an american industrialist who’s a former defense contractor and their public face is a guy

And Terrorbyte just writes itself.

From my (anecdotal) experience most of the old school Star Wars are at least neutral on TLJ or have enough dignity to be polite when discussing it. You guys have already seen the franchise change and seen new generations of fans fall in love with the series.

Because it’s very important that my favourite fictional character can beat up your favourite fictional character.

Thanks for making this point in an eloquent manner. Since the default internet duscussion view on race representation seems to use american demographics for any white majority nation the asian-british community gets screwed over in these conversations despite the larger uk population.

Man, it’s a real shame that people having different tastes and opinions to you upsets you so much.

So you’re dismissing a bunch of movies without seeing them because you assume they can’t be good? You sound a perfect academy candidate.

I liked Rose and thought Cabin in the Woods was just okay, does that make me bad and dumb?

You know, you’ve been very polite in these comment. Displayed an understanding of the movies intents and themes and explained why they didn’t work for you on a subjective level.

Yeah, as deserving as it was, a great year for animation and a bad campaign by funimation killed Your Names chances. Hearing a bunch of disgruntled Anime fans who hadn’t even heared of my life as a zucchini drone on and on about the academies biases got a little grating after a while.

Io9 doesn’t talk about a lot of great shows, The Orville is not one of them.

The weird “comeuppance” scene for someone trying to stop an injured animal being exploited was bizzare. The show was teally committed to having its morally shitty heroes learn nothing of value.

There’s actually a PS2 game called “Blood Will Tell” based on “Dororo”and Hiroaki Samura did character designs for it.

I wonder if there’s enough uru left on the handle for the hammer to used like the thunderstrike mace.

Yeah, Hydra going from we’ve infiltrated everything at the highest levels to getting mopped up like a minor inconvenience between movies was pretty bad. As of Homecoming left over chitauri weapons seem to have had longer reaching effects than Hydra.

I think that it’s just they both employ mythic, epic storytelling but in space! I’m not seeing any real direct comparisons.

Hey now, sometimes there’s brutal axe wielding sailors, or an inquisition against magic or that one country where the leader of that weird rigid monotheistic religeon lives. All well researched and nuanced takes on European countries and history.

I went into Blade Runner 2049 expecting it to be awful and left amazed. The original flopped before becoming a cult classic so hopefully the sequel can follow in its footsteps.

To be fair Japan has a pretty bad track record for live action manga adaptations.
