Wakanda seems to be quite isolationist, i mean they didn’t seem to care much about the colonisation of Africa. I think unless a threat is knocking on their door they think of it as other peoples problems. I would have thought Ultrons Vibranium shenanigans would have got a response though.

As I understand it they wanted to use Locarno originally but hastily turned him into Tom Paris so they wouldn’t have to pay the writer who invented the character. Kinda sad if it’s true.

It does seem like there’s no room for a little optimisim or even just neutrality anymore.

But it’s objectively an animated series and only subjectively an anime.

But if you follow that logic to its conclusion most animation ends up being Korean. Which seems overly reductive.

So on one hand you have a imitation of intelligence aping art by spamming cliches at a txt file with no true understanding of emotion, characterization or story structure and on the other you have a cold unfeeling robot.

I was under the impression that gainax handed over the IP rights to the rebuild movies and they where entirely studio khara’s thing. I mean Anno recently sued them for unpayed royalties, doesn’t seem like a lot of funding was going on.
