you don't "need" Snow Leopard to get Lion. if it makes you feel better, just buy it and then get a copy of the lion image. back up data, and fresh install. I suspect similar pricing for ML $29

thinking of limewire takes me way back. which for me means early 2000's. the early golden age era of piracy is winding to an end. a very apropos allegory is one piece

an astute observation, my good sir.

maybe a 3DS re-release or eshop

preorder Mass Effect 3 on Origin and you get a free copy of Battlefield 3. offer is limited time only. as with EA, ymmv.

it just depends on how a game is written. civ is a lot more busy probably with so many things to keep track of at the same time.

actually I run it fine on my 2010 13". though they did downgrade 2011 to Intel graphics. 2010 has Nvidia 320M

I'll have to steal that metaphor for future reference

RC1 2.0.0 already came out about 2.5 weeks ago for all desktop platforms. they have probably fixed a few bugs since then. the vlc twitter says there is only 2 bugs left before 2.0.0 final releases.

well also, a tablet is more generic than a gaming handheld. tablets are more useful as reading, watching videos, than music or chatting. the vita has hardware controls that lend itself to a more fulfilling gaming experience. A touch screen will never rival a button layout in non-casual games that rely on real time

check out [reddit.com] they're pretty helpful over there. and as for the i7, if you're mostly going to be gaming, an i5 2500k is what you should be looking at. the i7 offers little to no increase in performance for gaming. it is only advantageous for more heavy duty multi-task processing like graphics rendering, CAD

gizmodo is a gadget blog. they only see things in gadget vision over there. "ooh pretty, but pretty useless to me". if it's not an apple all in one device, they couldn't care less.

it doesn't work in Lion.

This is a gadget blog. It's only natural to review the device as a gadget, but I think it's a little unfair. The Vita is going to primarily be a gaming device and not your "goto" internet portal. Have you ever thought what Sony was thining? Make smartphones! Make game consoles! sell both!

you forget. only the bite is lethal. they've smeared themselves in zombie gore in the city to pass undetected. if that didn't infect them, what's a little skin contact going to do?

they charge people who post ads for jobs.

made my friday night. thanks :D

that is on my wishlist. what should I expect? from any type of analysis.

you missed the part about the certification. 3rd party hackarounds are fine and dandy in your own time, but official releases from OEMs have to follow regulations and QA, etc. of government, FCC, carrier and their own standards.
