Wow. Sorry.

VP is different from president.

I’m pretty sure that Republican women were crying over Sarah Palin. Jezebel is a pretty “liberal” site so the readers tend to be Democrats hence why so many people here are excited about their Party nominating its first woman.

Unfortunately because of some psychological reasoning or whatever, people aren’t inclined to help others.

Never mind. Read between the parenthesis.

I’m not an American, but I’m sure that this will have a positive impact on women around the world. Hope that soon it will be President Clinton.

But how can you know that they see the issue addressed to them?

Of course they know. They just don’t care.

Yeah but there are still some women who internalize misogyny and deny that rape culture and patriarchy exist. I think those articles can be educational for them.

If we are talking globally and historically, that’s not really true.

The Australian population is about 24 million which means that there are about 12 million women in Australia.

First of all, I’m not talking about homicide in general, I’m talking specifically about men murdering their female partners, which is the point of this article.

Because if guns are not easily accessible, the enraged person (ha! man, the enraged man) has enough time to cool down and ends up murdering nobody.

Sure. But pretending at if it will solve male violence against women is pretty dumb.

I’m not talking about homicides in general. I’m talking specifically about women being murdered by their male partners.

You’re trying really hard to not understand what I’m talking about, are you? Didn’t I already say that countries with stricter guns laws have the same or even higher rates of femicide as the US? If you take out firearms out of the equation men will just find another replacement and the rates of violence will stay the

You’re right, I don’t understand. What the hell are you talking about?

That study states that women in the US are more likely to be murdered with guns, not that they are more likely to be murdered than women in other high-income countries.

Countries with stricter gun laws still have violence against women, you do realize that, right? Even if the US outright banned all guns, abusive men there would just find something else.

Yikes!
