I feel like the low rating for this fantastic episode might have to do with AV Club's PC discomfort towards handling the transgender section… Btw, those TWO Dodge Charger commercials?! Genius. Also, The Eric Andre Show music?!

"2001: A Space Odyssey" re-release in Birmingham, overture and intermission and all. UNBELIEVABLE.

I hate prank shows as much as the next guy - but I realise the difference is, these are friends pranking friends using the public, rather than people pranking the unsuspecting public. The chemistry is really where it's at.

You sound surprised… We're talking comic books as the source material here.

This was one of the best superhero episodes in television - it could be a self contained hour-long film. After all, it's only as good as it's villain, and when the villain isn't a villain but an anti-hero, it makes it all the more interesting. Brilliant casting.

Maaaan - Kipper The Dog. Absolutely quality show. The infinite white background, extremely gentle surrealism and remarkably memorable quotes. Oh, and the theme song…

And by worst you mean best, right?

It has to be Roger Deakins for "Sicario" for Best Cinematography. 13 nominations from the master of light and no wins - poor Leo can't even win the record for most nominations with no wins.

My great-aunt did too! I laughed really hard at that joke because, well, that's what comedy is for. To remain in the past and take things too seriously is an unfortunate contemporary reality in our PC culture….

NoMoAuchie - brilliant.

I wrote about Pump Up The Volume a week ago after stubling across it again after several years, and wrote a short retrospective piece on it - and now AV Club have done it! I declare plagiarism!
