Okay, that was my initial thought, but then questioned myself. Still a funny name. I only think of Sesame Street.

Oh, I wasn't mad at you. Just expressing my frustration at Paul-Louis. I knew you were joking. Then I started thinking I couldn't really remember who mentioned Grover. All I think when I hear that is Sesame Street.

Wow, maybe their personalities just clash. Shoshanna never really had a big story arc.

It will matter to the kid, but I doubt we will get to ever see the kid and all that goes on in his life. I just don't think it's important now. But I understand where you're coming from.

Clueless white people do that because what difference does his race make? He doesn't appear to be religious. And he's not even going to be part of the kid's life anyway.

I agree. In her mind she has finally hit rock bottom. It could be the epiphany she needed. The Panic in Central Park was Charlie's rock bottom. I could see how it wouldn't necessarily be the straw that broke the camel's back for Marnie.

It was funny that the throwing up in the bed didn't get him. How many girls have thrown up in his bed?

She's a terrible actor.

Except the white man in the movie at least could play basketball, which is why he and his friend would hustle the guys on the court.

What was the blind item? I'm curious now.

I can't remember who said Grover. Was it Dill? Anyway, if Hannah has this baby, she's keeping it. Why would she bother having it to give it up for adoption when she's such a big abortion advocate? She's not getting the abortion because she feels an unexpected connection to this baby.

Everyone told her to call him because a person deserves to know they have a baby. There was always the possibility he would be disinterested, but he still deserved to know. I'm glad she told him even if it didn't turn out as she had half hoped. It would have been incredibly shitty not to tell him.

I thought so too at first, then I noticed all the hugely pregnant women in the waiting room.

Fuck that! After the way the dad talked, I wouldn't let him have one part of this experience. Hannah's baby, Hannah picks the name.

I'd say it's not just the pawn shop owner. It's him saying that stuff right after she learns she can't even sell the priceless heirlooms she thought she had from her parents, even to save herself from eviction. And Ray broke up with her and her tour ended in humiliation. In her mind she has hit rock bottom.

Rita Wilson is amazing. She actually looks better in her 60s than she did in her 30s.

When has Desi ever been funny?

I would agree if she intentionally got pregnant. She clearly didn't expect to get pregnant, but once she found out about it she dealt with it. I like the way Hannah and her mother talked about it being your baby with the emphasis on your. She feels a connection to it.

People are really harsh on Elijah's initial reaction to the pregnancy. He was sufficiently contrite about it and I felt the apology was sincere. It's a big thing to take in when your friend and roommate gets pregnant. It has the potential to change his life as much as Hannah's. It's not crazy to behave that way at

In the recap interview with Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, Lena mentioned that she wrote that meeting scene as a flashback for season 2, and the other writers nixed it as awful. Maybe they wanted to get it in there finally just for fun.
