The co-developed transmission is a ten-speed, made for front engine, rear drive vehicles (Mustang and Camaro each have it, F150, etc.)
I certainly haven’t ignored the Flex ... my 2014 Limited Ecoboost with every single option sits in the garage as I type. Roomy and comfortable, tolerable fuel mileage, gets out of its own way, and I happen to love the “hearse-like” styling. Big ole’ station wagon.

The drain covers were supposed to be secured pre-race, one was apparently missed.
And that E39 will likely have much better steering feel. Heck, I’ve found that a 1999 Camry has better steering feel than most new cars.
