For me, I'd have a hard time with the obvious unequal power dynamic. No matter how hard we tried, I don't know if I could handle being with someone who was substantially further into his career than I was. Same goes for being with someone who was hugely more wealthy than me. I just couldn't hack it.

I think we have to add "don't go home with a guy whose favorite authors are Jack Keruac, Bukowski, and Palahniuk." All good writers, but that combo together has always been a bad combo for dudes, in my personal experience.
