People buy these with fuckyou money, so they can afford the upkeep.

The shifter is the easy part. Not positioning yourself in the center of the lane because you are on the wrong side of the car is more of a concern.

I would imagine wealthy oil bros in the middle east like using these to rip around sand dunes.

IDK, I feel just about anything that runs, has good tires and will pass smog is worth around a grand (give or take).

Omitting the shadows of the door, mirror, and hatch was likely deliberate so as the keep the shadow from appearing too busy, and asymmetrical. It also keeps the entire thing frame without having to enlarge the overall piece or cut off the shadows.

Are they using a wide angle lens here? This shit looks ridiculous.

I bought an S4 because of that movie. Those drifts through
Paris...

Underrated? You do realized how much old Toyota pickups go for, right?

No kids, fuel efficient car, and solar on the roof are the big ones.

Actually, if your tires are underinflated and the smog test is done on a dyno, the engine has to work harder to achieve the test speed. Running harder at the same RPM means more fuel, which mean running richer, which means burning dirtier.

Yeah, but there are a lot of Jalops that’ll comment on here before their morning coffee has kicked in, and they’ll just scroll right past that “/s” edit in a rush to reply.

Oh man, I hope there is some sarcasm here, because you’re about to be roasted.

I suspect the real reason they went with in hub motors is that at some point down the road (if they can make it long enough to mass produce) it will be cheaper to build than a dual motor design that requires controlled differentials and articulated axles, but I’m really spitballing here.

Why not? Look how small the actual lit part of a Model 3 brake light is.

They should have just integrated them into the panel gaps:

The Motor Trend article on the cross country off road trip suggests that it is.

It looks like a very forgettable car, which explains why it looks like the owners forgot they had one for 40 years.

It would be kinda funny if it went the other way. Imagine some guy walking into a Best Buy with a load of laundry to take a washer for a spin (literally), and repeatedly telling the salesperson he doesn’t want the Truecoat on the drum.
