Yep... despite that dorky TV spot and horribly photoshopped poster, I’m still very excited to go see Homecoming.

Carol is going to be in the movie for sure...but I wasn’t referring to her.
It’s definitely Carol Danvers. She was cast a long time ago, way before the movie production was even a twinkle on the horizon. You know they had a reason for that.
Ok, why is Wonder Woman hefting what appears to be a Soviet T-35 tank (which did not debut until 1935) over her head instead of something more WWI appropriate? I am outraged! Outraged, I tell you. I’m so unbelievably mad about this terrible anachronism, I may not show up to the movie until right before the trailers…
5th Element is a perfectly rewatchable, fun cult film. I’d take that if that’s what Valerian turns out to be. The only real loss there, from my perspective, would be that if it wasn’t a smash hit but was still fun they probably wouldn’t bother making a followup.
The plot synopsis for Legends of Tomorrow doesn’t make any goddamn sense.
Exactly, and it’s a pretty natural fit for Supergirl too. We’ve seen how Supergirl and a speedster work together, Jesse has the kind of bubbly personality that Barry has whenever he’s around Kara, and it gives Jesse the opportunity to be “the Flash” without getting upstaged by Barry or Wally while at the same time…
Given that Arrow and The Flash seem to struggle finding storylines for their female characters, maybe they should just lend some of them to Supergirl for funsies?
It’s partly because the most basic superhero name formula is “Adjective Noun,” from Super-Man to Black Canary to Red Tornado to (if you want to stretch things) Capt. America. Generally, only X-Men are mononymous unless you have a proper name (Thor), and antiheroes get article-abstract-noun names (The...), with The…
I don’t think the Church of Scientology condones that.
Yeah, it’s Supergirl again. When they need a crossover, there’ll be a crossover. But if you want to read it:
The “not Arrowverse” thing seems more like a standard issue “lets give the show a chance to find it’s feet before we worry about that” statement. The same as Arrow having no powers, Supergirl not having any crossovers, and so on. If they come out of the gate saying it’s part of the universe, it burdens them with…
Okay. Love the way it’s presented and I love him. I don’t even care that it’s not in the Arrowverse and they’re swearing no crossovers (yeah, right). But that costume sucks! Hopefully there’ll be a redesign once it goes to series. And if they’re going to use The 100, please, please, please give me Rose & Thorn!
For a guy who got a bit part in the first movie through nepotism (the benign kind), and two more credits in the same movie from being conveniently at hand and not being able to tell the director no (I’ve worked for family, I know how it goes), Sean Gunn has really done some awesome work with the role of Kraglin.
I just saw it yesterday and even thinking about it makes me sniffle. The last 20 minutes of that movie are a punch to the emotional privates. They did a fantastic job with Yondu this time. My dad, who hates movie theaters but loved Guardians 1 saw it with my mom before me and my mom kept nudging him during the scene…
I can hold it together for the actual death, but what gets me(shit it’s getting me now and I’m not even watching) is Kraglin’s reaction when he sees that Yondu is getting a Ravager funeral.
That’s why it’s such a wonderful world, bub. We all like different stuff.
Iron Fist was hated by more people that didn’t watch it. Those that did mostly either enjoyed it or were ambivalent.
