They do it in my neighborhood every day. USA, suburbs, 1/3 acre lots, everyone has their own mailbox on the street. The carrier drives his truck with the door slid open, mail in the passenger seat, pulls up, stops, open mailbox, insert mail, close mailbox, onto the next one.

Not urban, suburban. That’s how it’s done.
