As much as I like Caroline Dhavernas, oh my gosh do I hope it's Alana who bites it. I do not like the way her character has been used this season, and I'm not sure they can rehab her at this point.

Yeah, I don't see BoB's focus as myopic, I see it as the story being told, from the perspective that these men would've experienced it. I don't think it would've been improved by giving a German point-of-view. It would've been a DIFFERENT series, but not a better one. If anything, the final episode gets pretty

I beamed when I saw "Band of Brothers" and "The Pacific" on the list of content included in that. I've got BoB on DVD, and I rewatch it pretty much once a year, but I've never watched "The Pacific." Finally out of excuses. It's on the docket for this weekend.

I sometimes wonder if I'd have been better-disposed to this episode if the Jones part had been played by anyone but Tom Hanks' son (and I don't think Colin Hanks is bad here). I'm forced to conclude that I probably would have liked it more, and that's not fair, though it still feels like a come-down sandwiched

This is my plan. Watch the premier (which this F has me primed for) and watch the finale to see how much collateral damage the trainwreck causes.

I kind of enjoyed "Joe Shmoe," mainly because the tight-rope level of execution was fun to watch, since it was a bunch of improv performers trying to keep the illusion going as long as possible. And the Shmoe they picked for the first season seemed like a pretty nice guy. I didn't watch the subsequent ones, but it

It's "The Mummy" lite, which itself is "Indiana Jones" lite. If that appeals to you (it did to me), it's not a bad way to kill an afternoon, particularly if you've got a six-pack of beer to kill with it.

B99 was certainly the first place my brain went when I read the description of it though, without seeing the show itself, it's too soon to tell much. I really like B99 so clearly the setting can work and I like Rashida Jones an awful lot. I generally don't like TBS shows, though, so I'm not terribly optimistic, even

I agree that the voice-over adds to the episode rather than detracts from it, like "Bastonge." Those two episodes are my favorites of the series in large part because I find Roe and Lipton two of the more compelling focus characters, and the voice-over deepens that for me.

This is probably the best replacement for "Colbert," if we're sticking with "The Daily Show" pool of players. He'll do something different, and different enough from Stewart that I'll continue to watch both at least for awhile.

The first Spider-Man 2 (and yes, it's horrifying typing that) was also good. The only superhero movie I'd claim is arguably better than it is "Avengers," heavy on the arguably. As much as Sony seems to want to disown the first go-round of Spider-man movies, the new ones are doing nothing but improving my memories of

It'll be profitable once you factor in international numbers, but oh my gosh do I hope this heralds a collapse for the forthcoming Spider-man movies nobody wants.

Oh gosh, the Jaguar. I saw one of those in a used bookstore and almost bought it strictly for the pop culture historical value (same reason I won't let my dad trash his 8-track).

The thing is, "All Good Things" is easily a Top 10 episode of TNG for me. It's one of the best TV finales ever done, I think. That "What You Leave Behind" isn't quite there isn't an insult.

I liked "Expose" (The Nikki and Paolo ep). I'm just gonna own that.

Zack, as others have said, thank you. I've enjoyed revisiting one of my favorite series through your writing, and a new one every week improved my Thursdays just a little bit. I'll always have the recaps, I suppose.

"All Good Things" and it's not even close, and I say that as someone who considers DS9 my favorite series. I think overall it has a stronger 7th season than TNG's, though, and I'd put "Tacking Into the Wind" up against any TNG episode.

Rappin' Jake Sisko, I think I'll miss you most of all.

Yeah, they're definitely very much of a piece. Seeing "Bastonge" almost exclusively through Roe's eyes here gives you, somehow, a better handle on everything going on in "Breaking Point," which is more of an ensemble piece and more concerned with the larger battle.

I'm not sure if I prefer "Bastonge" to the next ep, "Breaking Point," but the two make up my favorite leg of the series.
