I like Notepad++. Code coloring and completion, automatic identation, supports many languages and is extensible, among many other useful features.
I use [www.drivermagician.com] for this. It's really light-weight, I carry it around in my pendrive, and has some nice features like driver database/update and one-click restore.
I used Irfanview before jumping to XnView. What made me change was eye-candy (I can't stand that roadkill Irfanview icon... and XnView has much more professional looks), and the browing a-la ACDSee.

Netvibes has the coolest selection of widgets IMHO. Guess I'll just wait for it.
For calendar synching I just use a Netvibes calendar module. Works for me.
This doesn't seem to work very well with RocketDock and "Minimize windows to dock" option.
Apart from the weird "defaults" it's a nice tool. But you have to keep it running to use its features, it's not like TweakUI which only make changes to the registry.
