I dunno, vinegaroons aren't even venomous. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure they can pinch the crap out of you, but I'd rather have that happen than have them spray acetic acid in my face.

Erin, spiders are venomous, not poisonous. Just sayin'.

That's gnat the same thing!

Hey man, no need to bring roaches into this. What'd they ever do to you?

Those all sound amazing, except for the Jolly Rancher waterbugs.

This, absolutely. I don't know if it would cut into compost quality eventually, but it would be easy to do and very efficient.

Wait, people feed their dogs on the same plane and/or in the same room as cats? Oh, that would never work.

Oh, yeah, I can't blame you there, and I'm sorry for what you went through. I've been told anecdotally (by Vetter who would be expert from the spider side of things) that recluse bites are dry, not oozy, but I also don't have a medical background, so I can't say for sure. My frustration is entirely with the doctors

See:

Really? Okay, sure, if you want your doctor telling you some made-up shit, then that's on you. I'd want to know what was actually going on, but apparently that's just me.

Oh my god, how awful. I... really don't understand why people can't reasonably compare the dangers of 1) catching a glimpse of a spider and 2) COVERING EVERYTHING WITH PESTICIDES. I would have been furious!

If antibiotics helped the healing, your injury was not due to venom. Likewise, if your doctor was sure about the cause of the injury, he/she would not have prescribed antibiotics. I'm not a doctor, so I'm not qualified to diagnose you with MRSA, but I sure as hell wish that doctors would extend the same professional

Ok, I tried to be good, I really did.

Ok, thanks! I think I just called those horse chestnuts. Interesting!

Sorry, I am not great at understanding arachnophobes sometimes. Feel free to skip this if it's not helpful or if it makes you more anxious. Some spiders are way well-adapted to living in homes (they essentially evolved and followed us), so yes, they'll sometimes make it back inside. House spiders (Parasteatoda),

Can I just say, as a spider-fancier, that I'm way jealous of all the cool shit you guys get in FL? It's really no consolation, I realize, if you/your loved ones are scared of them, but FL spidering is pretty much the best.

Eh, if you haven't noticed it failing, why change anything? Chances are the spiders just get dehydrated and fall right in the trash when you empty it. Alive or no, if it hasn't been a problem so far, it ain't worth setting the house on fire.

Kind of? It's an open system, though, not like they're doing it through veins. It's weirdly efficient a lot of the time. If you put a spider on a treadmill, they don't really tire out like most things we're used to. They go as fast as they started out until they just... stop.

Wait, what's a conker? Is that a thing I should know about?

Right on, spider-savers!
