The “choose to be poor” statement hits pretty close, and I am quite sensitive to the political policies that fostered that sentiment along with the extraordinarily misguided “advice” of the past couple generations that put people in their shit situations. This is not the same at all.

If for anything, they should be soundly mocked for the sake of anyone who might entertain that bullshit. The “believers” rejected reality and are a lost cause. It’s literally never been easier to learn things, and they chose to bathe themselves in ignorance.

Dunkirk was absolutely gripping. I’d say it’s his best directorial work. Too many of his movies involve him using exposition as a crutch. It was refreshing to see him tell a non-linear story without painstakingly explaining every detail of the plot to the audience.

I don’t see anyone criticizing the maddening amount of exposition in his movies. Inception was so frustrating to watch. Ellen Page isn’t a character so much as she’s a stand-in for the audience. The entire movie is Leo explaining to her (you) what’s going on. That’s not good direction!

I disagree.  A company asking for this information is a huge red flag.  Never give it to them.

It’s best not to lie. Simply refuse to answer or apply somewhere else, but never give them this information.

Any company that asks for that information is one you don’t want to work for.
