He’ll have 11 catches a game, and then drop a winning touchdown pass. That isn’t something that you can see on a stat sheet.

And let us just ignore the part where the team is down over 30 points in a game, and continue to blame one man vs the other 21 on offense and defense. Truly, an analysis worthy of Stephen A. Smith himself.
Are you typing these takes pants-less while wearing a Herman Moore Jersey?
You can’t possibly be this stup—Lions fan, nevermind, checks out.
Your posts are just... Really bad...
Look, if the two best offensive players the Lions have had in the past 60 years retire early because the Lions suck so bad it wasn’t worth the effort and bodily harm, how do you not blame the team?
Actually it is. You’re judging an entire career where he was actually pretty damn efficient based on a few key moments, while ignoring the thousands of other ways the Lions crapped their pants all year long and saying he’s the reason they didn’t go anywhere. Their league wide top 10 receiver is the reason they are 7-9.
Bummer. But congrats on your marriage! I hope you’re married to the Lions, because clearly they’ve been fucking you for a while.
He is Megatron, you are Negatron
I’m pretty sure I’m not the one with the misunderstanding today. But by all means, continue entertaining me with your scorching hot takez and airtight logic.
“Screw his statistically clean record. I HAVE ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE.”
LOL. He had 84 catches for 1,500 yards and 12 TDs in 2013. Every 7th pass he caught was a TD. But you right. He sucks.
Well he had 14 fumbles in his 135 game career, so those must have been some backbreaking fumbles. His last season he dropped 4 passes. Holy crap. Four!?! Clearly the reason the Lions went 7-9 in 2015 is his 4 drops and 1 fumble. Otherwise they’re an easy 13-3, right?
He was still the best receiver in the game when he retired but when your team has only one legitimate weapon on offense and that is Calvin Johnson, its pretty easy for a defense to plan for. Detroit is a crappy team, it has been a crappy team for 50 years and based on their management are planning on being a crappy…
While Calvin was in Detroit the Lions went 54-90, which obviously points to an endemic team problem instead of just one player, never mind their best player.
On one hand, maybe the Lions decades upon decades of persistent futility and mismanagement in the face of salary caps and parity could all just be a sham and it’s really Megatron’s laziness and shitty play (and Barry Sanders’ before him) that has doomed the Lions. Maybe you’re right.
Ah yes, it was one of the best receivers in the league’s fault that the Lions are a dumpster fire. Solid take.
