I do feel like if this were, say, one of the Kardashians, the response - both from Kara and from the commenters - would be different.

That makes sense to me. But people on Jezebel often seem to have very stringent rules re. cultural appropriation - I've actually seen commenters argue that (white) Americans shouldn't even eat foods from other cultures - so like I said, I was just curious to know how people would respond...especially given the Beyonce…
