She is an incredibly talented and iconic actress who comes across as very poised, glamorous and mysterious. Her allure is not of the “she seems so nice, I wish she was my best friend!” kind; it’s more like “she is an imperious French ice queen, I want to worship at her feet even though she’d probably sneer at me

This makes my skin crawl. I wish we could just let this poor woman rest in peace already.

Okay, I think the most important question here is obvious: Who did Bobby play in The Glass Menagerie? Were you Tom? The gentleman caller? Amanda? THE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW, BOBBY!

I love this piece so much. What a beautiful man.

I mean, good for her and all, she should do whatever makes her feel her best, but I’m not going to pretend I didn’t just massively roll my eyes at her caption.

“The appropriation comes in when you take from another culture and re-brand it as your own, giving no credit to where it came from.”

Agreed; those scenes were very hard to watch. In her review of BLL for the New Yorker, Emily Nussbaum wrote, “It’s hard not to suspect that Celeste is consenting, in part, so that she doesn’t have to admit that if she didn’t agree he wouldn’t stop.” And as we saw in the episode where she broke his urethra, he doesn’t

Yeah, your timeline is correct - Chloe’s dad is Ed, not Nathan. There’s even a moment in episode 1 where Bonnie refers to the girls as half-sisters and Madeline is rudely like “um, no they’re not.”

I’m curious, why do you think she’s a terrible Dear Prudie? I don’t read it very often.

This is very sweet and I’m happy for them, but the M&M analogy is bugging me a little. M&Ms are not mushy inside! How does that make sense?
