What it actually said: "Dear Die Hard, You rock. Especially when that guy was on the roof. PS: Do you know Mad Max?"

Too many notes.

"What kind of kaiju, out of all the places in the whole wide world, would invade some shitty council estate in south London?"

I admit that it's easy to say this in hindsight, but that's the second week in a row, and they gave 75-1.

Dear A.V. Club writers: put your dead pool money on 'No one on our list' for a quick pay-off. (Except next week as the Waif is totally gonna die.)

Wait… the Hound is alive in the books? I finished reading in 2011 and have admittedly forgotten a few plot points, but I did not remember him coming back.

One other thing; if the Hound was alive he would be with a completely different bunch of religious fanatics, so I don't know how likely it would be that the High Sparrow would be able to get him for the trial.

Yeah; she has no claim to the crown herself. Also; last night I had an idea that seemed brilliant at the time; Young Griff would be the sparrows' champion for some reason. Now I have one that actually makes sense: Loras. It seems pretty obvious. He was conspicuously absent from the last episode, he's a really good

Gilbert Gottfried.

Sounds interesting. It is a bit unfortunate that most high fantasy is based around medieval Europe, but I assume that's because it's mostly written by white people who don't want to be accused of appropriation. I think J.K. Rowling should be given a bit of a pass in regards to her expanded mythology. She's at least

Thanks! I'll try to check it out

I actually read Gardens of the Moon, and I mildly disliked it, mostly because there didn't seem to be anything too interesting going on. If I continued the series I'd probably have to go back and read it again, (which I don't think I can do,) as my memory for fantasy has a high turnover rate.

Thanks! I actually read the Mistborn series before Wheel of Time, and Words of Radiance fairly recently. (I was a bit disappointed by the ending, but I'll probably keep reading that series when the next book comes out.) I was looking into The Name of the Wind earlier, and I think think it was the first-person

Maybe it's because I tried to read The Silmarillion on a couple of occasions, but I don't think I can deal with Tolkien anymore.

Anyone have more fantasy recommendations for someone who's into ASOIAF and Wheel of Time? (Me.) Also; what's the deal with the Wheel of Time live action series? It was teased over a month ago, and I haven't heard anything since.

"Jaime was super justified in kingslaying him", lol. I'm kind of wondering if some Targaryens might have something like green sight, which could cause them to see things like the coming of white walkers, and drive them crazy. So, he'd want to burn them all to stop them from being undead.

That would also make sense. Nevertheless, I'm still convinced that there's a connection between the Aerys flashback and the white walkers, even if is just the wild fire.

Also; maybe Aerys WAS talking about the people of King's Landing when he said 'Burn them all!', but because he knew about the white walkers and didn't want them reanimating the dead.

I would tend to agree with you, however Aerys was shown in a flashback sequence that was spliced in with shots of white walkers. Narratively, I can't see them doing this unless they're connected. But yeah; I really hope this isn't another time travel paradox where Bran caused it all.

Also, it seemed to be implying that Aerys was talking about the White Walkers when he was saying 'Burn them all!', right? Right!?
