I thought the revelation of Jiaying having another daughter was weirdly underplayed. I know this storyline isn’t over, but May and Yoyo didn’t mention to Daisy that she had a sister in this episode, nor did they even comment to each other on it.

Gemma was really really busy. Her husband is hidden, the time drive is wonky, she is working far outside her normal area of expertise, and she has her grandson pestering her.

If he becomes Daisy’s love interest, he dies. Them’s the rules

Well, doesn’t have to *stay* a policeman in 2012 ...

To be fair, we’ve known you can extract powers from Inhumans for your own purposes since S2 - Nate called up Dr. Whitehall to ask how to do it. I kinda hope they’ll show Whitehall, but I’ve got a feeling he’s got no loyalty to the guy in prison, just wanted to use his knowledge for his own nefarious deeds.

And

Lose one Coulson, just print a new one.

That would be very neat plot-wise but I more want him to stay with the team

I still think Sousa gets dropped off in the 90s and becomes the cop in the Avengers.

Simmons makes Sousa an upgraded prosthetic leg, and Daisy tells her surrogate robot dad that she is glad he stayed (which makes Coulson  happy). All of my dreams for Sousa becoming part of the team seems to be coming true. Please do not be deceiving me show

“This is literally my worst nightmare.”

It looks like everyone is getting upgrades. May’s powers are growing and she no longer needs to touch people to feel what they are feeling. Including “reunions” in other rooms. The constant burden of empaths and telepaths.

It was nice to see Jiaying before Whitehall. One who appreciates all gifts not only her people’s. It was also great to see her reaction to SHIELD coming wasn’t completely unjustified. That Nathaniel invasion was exactly what she said SHIELD was back in the future. Still, her story still may happen in similar way since

I mean they could still have Enver and Dichen meet up since it doesn’t look like we’re gone with the Afterlife business.

Also, speaking of callbacks I noticed that Yo-Yo didn’t have to be half-naked for her acupuncture treatment. Just saying this show has it’s mind in the gutter when it comes to a particular character.

Next week Agents of SHIELD does Groundhog Day.

The stuff with Yo-Yo was fine but I’m not sure how I feel about retconning her powers this late in the game. And there weren’t any real hints to her issues being related to not needing to bounce back or the psychological thing before this it feels a little nebulous.

Okay, it should be against the law to have Dichen and Enver in an episode and not have them share any screen time. That was bullshit. Everything else was pretty fun, except for Nathanial, who’s just a massive dweeb and I can’t wait to see Daisy push his weaselly face in.

It had a lot to do with Ultron, though—there was a Maria Hill cameo that established the whole “Coulson being secretive” storyline in Season 2 was the result of him getting all the helicarriers that are used in Age of Ultron. But that was the last appearance of Hill on the show, and the last major crossover between it

I tried to keep up with references but each one was more glorious than the next. I think it’s the way they mix and match them that was hilarious - like Sibyl/Russel story had Electric Dreams, Short Circuit, Weird Science and Little Shop of Horrors with a little bit of Cylons sprinkled on.

The fun of this episode came from trying to catch all the references to various 80s movies but the heart came from giving Mack 20 months to deal with what happened. He wasn’t alone even though he tried to be. Deke was a friend to both him and the new version of him. And it got better little by little.
