I agree about Deke, but Mack’s whole running thing with the shotgun-axe is something I love and I won’t stand to hear bad about him otherwise.

So, at this point “preserving the timeline” is pretty much impossible and we have basically moved right into alternate-universe territory.

Some of Jemma’s problems could also be attributed to the EMP from 1955.

I would hope Daisy’s torture trauma is at least handled with more class than the last time they went to that well.

Things are changing but some are not. Little Mac now has a justified hatred of robots. Sousa didn’t die but everyone thinks he did. I think the reason Jemma is having problems with her memory (and had the time to build a time machine between the end of last season and now) is because she’s done the loop a lot. A lot a

This was a really good episode because it had real stakes, and consequences that I can’t imagine will be easy to ‘fix’ (ie. Daisy’s torture*, and Mack’s parents - I also just realised this was especially terrible as MAC HATES ROBOTS! Is this why?!).

Whitehall took just about everything out of Daisy’s mother and she still retained her powers. Daisy will be fine.

The problem with that theory is that both Wilfred and Nathaniel Malick died later than they did in the original timeline.

I’d like to see them try with Daisy’s.

They were two of my least favourite characters for a long time (and, to be fair, Mack still gets some terrible writing, and comes across as overly-moralising and/or borderline incompetent as and when the show dictates), but Deke has grown in leaps and bounds, and I like the idea of the pair of them getting some added

I feel like I went ten rounds with this episode. It was hard to watch at points. When May realized Mack’s dad was a Chronicom, my heart sank. That was a gut punch I didn’t want.

I knew it. This is, at least partly, a time loop.

So what’s to stop the Chronicoms from kidnapping (or just killing) the whole team’s parents?

It’s doubtful Daisy’s lost her powers. She was drugged which is why she couldn’t quake and I don’t think Nathan took enough stuff out of her to turn them off. And I’d imagine some time in the healing tube will get her back in good shape.

I disagree with your assessment of the visuals of this episode. The missile attack at the beginning was amazing, albeit brief. The VFX were terrific, especially the Zephyr’s countermeasures. Smoke is notoriously difficult to render in cgi. Mark Kolpak and his crew once again did a fantastic job!

We’ve now ended 2 of the 3 time period eras they’ve been in with somebody having to run back to the ship before it jumps and people getting left behind...it’s already gotten old.

Judging by the bonkers promo at the end and the fact that next week’s episode is named “The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and The D” it looks like we are getting a Mack/Deke 80's buddy episode next week. My guess is that the episode will end with them catching up to the Zephyr.

I don’t really have much to say about THIS episode.
...but that next episode preview ( set in 1982) with Phil Headroom and everyone doing the cheesiest 80's B-movie sci-fi had me laughing so much that I doubt the actual episode can live up to it.

So Deke and Mack are left behind this time, along with RoboCoulson, to whom I am sure Mack and Deke will flee. The question becomes how our crew reunites, and when, and if that will finally mean Fitz coming to the rescue.

So sorry about Mack’s parents. Seems the timeline has changed so much, there;s no fixing it

This was about as bleak as this show gets. But they are time-traveling, so who knows what’ll stick and what won’t?
