I just don’t get it. You people say COD sucks. It sucks blah blah, meeeeeh they haven’t made a good COD since fill in the blank. Meeeeh. Then sony fanboys say PS5 is beating xbox and it’s so much better and we have these exclusive games and these games and they don’t even compare etc.

How is one game a monopoly play? I mean seriously, all anyone cares about in this deal is Call of Duty. So please, enlighten me, how is one game a monopoly play?

Omg...when is this narrative that Sony is “the little guy” gonna end? Sony makes billions across a variety of markets.  I don’t think MS could buy out Sony realistically.

Lol. PSfanboy: MS LOST to Sony because Sony was so competitive.

Same PSFanboy: The acquisition should not be approved! Because unfair competition.

MS didn’t make Minecraft exclusive so what’s even your point?

Yeah, what an odd perception, considering Sony makes appliances, computers, and movies etc. They’re a tech giant.  Nintendo is the only gaming company in the console market.

No long term harm? Are you serious? So Xbox being behind Sony is just....short term harm? huh. I mean XBox hasn’t threatened taking COD off Sony, in fact, they want to keep it on because they can make money off PS players. They don’t care about selling hardware. But sure, maybe an exclusive single player campaign down

They get rewarded if it’s sold piecemeal...

Monopoly? Okay, perception in the gaming community is Xbox is LOSING. Perception is that activition/blizzard is a crap company that doesn’t put out good games and bleeds money. Simultaneously, the community is also saying Microsoft would be a monopoly if they bought Activision.  It just doesn’t add up to me. This

One reason is the shift to regulators looking at big tech. Also, the ps fanboys seem to take credit for the regulators taking notice. I personally don’t understand why buying multiple companies that previously made games for Microsoft is FINE and making exclusives is fine, but when someone else does it it’s awful, and

They already announced they aren’t stopping development. MAYBE, they are laying off all the reasons you don’t like Halo.

Google is laying off 12,000 employees. That’s more than Microsoft. Amazon laid off 18000, which were in its tech side. Grow up and quit the conspiracy theories and corpo crap. It’s a business.

No. OH and it’s not a fact.  But anyways, no it doesn’t necessarily mean that at all.  It means 343 was bloated in the first place. Obviously, they weren’t efficient. If that is because they were work from home, then moving back to the office means they don’t need more people. If they weren’t efficient because they

Duh. They’re exaggerating for effect. It’s a legit question. If YOU were running a business and business was slower and projected to be slower than when you hired the employees, why would you just keep the same number on the team? And it’s not just Microsoft, tech companies in general are laying people off. Google is

Often during acquisitions, there’s a set amount of time in the contract where they can’t lay off or fire employees, just like a set amount of time before changing the name or stuff like that. Could be what it is. Idk.  I’ve seen a few buyouts. Recently, my hospital bought out a company and they had to keep them for 6

I don’t understand. If you were running a McDonald’s and you had less customers the past year so you have three people who stand around not doing anything every shift, your business plan is to keep paying them to do nothing? Tell me how that makes sense.

Tbf, MOST tech companies are doing this. They are correct, e-commerce went down and in person shopping went up. Also with inflation, people are just spending less. If they’re reducing output, then naturally some positions will be redundant. It sucks but all you people acting like this a travesty and they should be

I mean, recognition is why artists sign their work. Granted, coders often do as well. But yeah, I couldn’t look at viagra and tell you what scientist came up with it.

It’s not one country. There are many countries where it’s illegal. And those countries advertisers are involved with twitter. Unlike China it seems.

Thanks for saying that. Many people don’t realize it. I think even a heil motion is illegal.
