Paradox is also in how riders are often more confident than they should be. The state expects them to follow the law, riders expect drivers to follow the law, but rarely do riders see themselves from another POV.

As long as the police don’t pull over the people that don’t stay at the scene, jalopnic is okay with that.

Ah, but not really. Dealers pull this crap all the time. It’s not ‘salvage’, but was in a flood, and you think you’re getting something you’re not. I’m glad people at all levels are calling out scammers on their bullshit. Whether it’s a $1K, $10K, or $1,000K car, the douche bags that believe this BS is acceptable are

Nah, if he can get ripped off I can *absolutely* get ripped off. Seinfeld went through it too, I’m all about contracts meaning contracts.

But there would be fewer clicks if they said that in the article....

I’d add the Mazda3 hatch, Focus hatch (manual only!), Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe, and the Subaru Crosstrek if you want AWD. There are tons of small cars and wagons out there that can seat 4 adults in reasonable comfort while also having enough room in the way back to make the doggo happy. America is horny for

Finally, someone gets it. There has been a tragic lack of off the wall wild cards of late.

Agreed, current F150 and f350 are the absolute worst, especially if they have the upgraded factory lights. They run 4 full brightness beams even on "low", for some godawful reason. And that's not counting the fog lights. They hit the brights and it's enough to melt steel. Should be a MANDATORY recall on them IMHO.

My issue is people using their highbeams because they are too poor and lazy to replace their burnt out low beams, or just riding around with their highbeams on just because they dont know any better. So many Altimas driving around like that.

Well shit. Better hose it down with PFAS laden fire suppressives just to make sure they really fuck it up.

It’s not a bribe if that’s how their system is designed to work.

Yeah, it’s quite expensive.  This and the AMG wagon look like so much fun and then you see the price tag.  If they only offered the RS3 with a hatch, it would be  like a mini version of this thing for half the price.

The same contract will often have a clause in there about “The customer will pay $0.50/mile” or similar.

Remember, they’re here to protect us from those shifty manufacturers.

We don’t need a law because car dealers care about their reputation? Since when?

or 2 dozen Biden eggs...

Adjusted for inflation that’s eleventy kabillion dollars in today’s money.

ah well never mind
