yeah i wish theyd go all out for efficiency vs power like i can’t use 1000 hp on the street as well as i would love to have crazy range since i don’t have a garage to charge in every night.
I think it has to do with the federal standard that all braking/turn lights cannot be on a moving area (aka trunk), which is why so many of them are crammed on the corner light section before the trunk. The standard should likely be updated

One problem I see is that people have nowhere to cock about in cars. There is literally no legal option for it, so when it inevitably happens it’s in a setting that’s less than ideal. Even at track days, drag strips, and autocrosses, it’s all pretty tightly regulated. Burnouts, brakestands, donuts, revving, pretty…
That’s because a lot of Radwood-era cars could barely spin the tires... ;)
