If the data is out there,

I figure I never do anything illegal or controversial so I should be just fine, right?

Under no circumstance should anyone buy a Dodge Dart

I’m not sure if you actually looked at those listings or not, but the first two at $2,250.00 and 2,050.00 (not $2,500.00) were “sold” by the same seller and reviewed BY THE SELLER. Something sketchy going on there. The other 2 listings underneath are OBO which doesn’t list how much they actually sold for.

Um, it DOES have discrete voltage sources for the inputs???

I don’t know where you’re getting that the signals to the lights are anything goofy. I see a ground, plus a power feed for the running light, plus the brake and turn signal. If they were just logic signals, there would be a B+ (constant power) in addition to the ground, plus a signal for each function. This would

I seriously doubt anybody pays those ridiculous prices. You can list a half eaten sandwich on eBay for $3,000.00 but it doesn’t mean anybody is gonna buy it or that is actually what it’s worth. I would seriously hack up those tail lights and wire up some normal bulbs before paying a price that ridiculous

Here we are arguing over the legitimacy of a company who provides a way for people who want to drive to earn money doing it without significant barriers of entry all the while there is a huge push for autonomous vehicles and yet we praise it. We being the Jalopnik community and staff.

If they’ve hacked the PoS system, does it really make a difference if you pay inside?

So, 1. We get to suffer due to gas station worker’s incompetence. Always fun.

You might not have polarized glasses then

...never use a debit card.  Good advice in all situations.

I think it would be useful to mention in this article that contactless payment is a safer way to pay for gas at the pump, as was mentioned in the linked article.

Two stacked screens. It will also still have physical toggle switches (That line of silver just ahead of the shifter).

What I wish is that they would come up with a screen that worked with polarized driving glasses. Many of them don’t and it is really distracting.

“Brooklyn, NY" is shorthand for "one million idling hours"

“I really don’t see any other car that competes with the BMW in terms of real world very fast transport.”

most BMW drivers didn’t know which set of wheels on their car were actually powered?”

It’s not, though. It would be the ugliest car in Kia’s lineup by a fair margin.
