They probably make really good money on the shipping fee, and aren’t willing to lose out on it.

$300 for 20 years. That just seems so petty.

I traded in a 2012 Focus with 110k miles and a bad clutch pack (with 14k miles on it) for a 2017 CX-5 Grand Select. It has luxury things like heated leather seats, but you can easily tell where they cheap out. The paint is very thin and chips easily. Little things like the window buttons not all being auto up or down,

I cancelled my AAA membership when they lobbied against making the left lane the passing lane in Maryland.

Isn’t the point that the Governor runs the railroads? Are you saying the New York Governor is not “left leaning”?

Minivans (at least the grand caravan) will do all of that, the SUVs people are getting now largely can’t.

The only thing I do is make sure the buyer knows what they are getting. I had a Grand Marquis that was destined for the junkyard, but I listed it on craigslist to see if someone wanted a project. A mother contacted me and said she wanted it and could live with some small problems as it was the only car she could

The Mazda3 Hatchback was the only dad car with a stick that had a mix of affordability and safety. Even with that, it is a tight fit for infant car seats when a passenger is up front.

Craigslist, ebay, forums, tuners like Roush sell take off parts. It was great when I had a Mustang. Trucks seem to be another good market. Learn what specs wheels your car needs and find what other cars have them. A lot of guys bought Mustang wheels to put on Crown Vics and I am sure a hundred other cars with similar

I was looking at these when I was searching for a “dad car”. I wanted to get one over the Mazda3 Hatch, but you could only get the manual if you didn't want any other options checked.

Neutral: Considering my wife bought a 2012 Focus, there isn’t much Ford can do to make me want to buy a new car from them again.

Whenever I need new tires I go looking for new take off wheels. You can usually get a new wheel+tire for cheaper than getting new tires, then you can get some more back by selling your old wheels.

She gets chalk on her tires just for parking, not for breaking any laws. The chalk is later used to verify that she was in a spot for too long.

Yeah, but you have to close your own doors on a Camry.

They know, they just dont care. With the volume of people doing it consistently, it can’t be a mistake.

I am on the Maryland side of the DC area, and there are about 10 Mazda dealers within an hour or so drive of me. When I purchased my Mazda 3 I emailed them all and received a reply from 9 of them. All but 3 of them dropped out when I told them the price they had to beat with various bs to go along with it.

Some manufacturers like Mazda are making design decisions that give the manual worse MPG. Look at the 2018 Mazda3. 6AT final drive is 3.591 and the 6MT is 3.850. 6th is .599 on the auto and .680 on the manual. This hurts the manual MPGs on the highway in order to add in some “sportier” gearing or make the clutch

I am not sure how the timetable usually works, but he turned himself in last Friday and charges still haven't been filed.

"Yeah, I do all my own work on it"

If that is their only retirement and they throw it into a lifetime annuity, I think they will be making about $250/month. This is if they retire at 65. Retire at 55 and that is $190.
